A MOTORIST was caught driving a vehicle while already serving a previously imposed road ban.

Jordan McGregor had been disqualified from driving for a previous offence when he was pulled over by police officers at Spott Roundabout on the A1 on March 16.

Due to him serving a ban at the time, it was also found that the 37-year-old did not hold any valid insurance for the vehicle.

McGregor, of James Kirk Way, Dunbar, admitted the two charges when he was in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in March.

He returned to the city centre court last week, where Sheriff Alison Stirling issued him with a driving ban of 24 months.
