A CHANCE to mark “the end of an era” is being offered on Haddington High Street.
Last Autumn, Erica Muirhead confirmed she would be closing the doors of her business in 2024.
Tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday, customers are being urged to pop into Erica’s Florist to wish her well.
Green-fingered Erica has been working as a florist since she was still at school.
Now, after more than 50 years in the industry, she is planning to call it a day.
Customers can call in for “cake and fizz to say cheerio to Erica’s”.
When the announcement was made last year, the Haddington community councillor said: “We have had quite a few customers saying they will be very sad to see us go and have thanked us for being a part of Haddington.
“If we have done flowers for them, they have said thank you for the care we have taken and wished us well.
“There will be a deal of sadness there but also an excitement of whatever my retirement will bring.
“I have been involved with so many lovely people over the years.
“I still get school friends phone me from abroad to send flowers to relations either in Haddington or East Lothian.”
