DUNBAR Sailing Club has boosted the coffers of the town’s RNLI ahead of a special event.
The sailing club held its annual general meeting recently, before a coffee morning and cake-off.
The event raised £130 towards its RNLI 200 All Hands On Deck campaign, which encourages other sailing clubs to organise similar fundraising events through the year.
The club is also holding a Three Islands Race (taking in May, Craigleith and Bass Rock) next Saturday (May 11), with sailing clubs in North Berwick and Anstruther/East Neuk also participating from their respective start points. Weather permitting, there should be a large flotilla there.
Helping organise the events is Jamie Forrester, who is Dunbar Sailing Club commodore as well as a volunteer on the lifeboat crew.
Jamie said: “As commodore, with several members also RNLI volunteers, including myself, I thought it important to promote All Hands On Deck, a great fundraising campaign to get sailing clubs involved.
“We’re looking forward to organising events this year with other sailing clubs around the Forth.”
