IT IS HOPED that this year’s Musselburgh Horticultural Society’s plant sale will “exceed all expectations”.
President Eve Dickinson has just returned from a trip to Northumberland, where she had “a fantastic time” buying some “fabulous, not so common plants” which will be on offer at the event on Saturday.
Eve said: “After selling out within one hour last year, I have doubled the amount of plants on offer in the hope that people will not be disappointed this time around. There is a huge range of some amazing new varieties of bedding plants not available from local nurseries.
“I am also reducing my personal herbaceous borders, so there will be some really specialist plants available for connoisseurs.
“I really believe that this year’s plant sale will exceed all expectations.”
The plant sale takes place in St Michael’s Church Hall on Dalrymple Loan from 10.30am to noon.
Visitors should take a bag or box.
