AN INITIATIVE designed to tackle mental health issues has hit the target.
The Haddy Huddle was launched in Haddington earlier this month with a view to bringing young men together to enjoy a game of football and the chance to chat.
Created by Haddington Athletic Football Club, the town’s Bridge Centre, East Lothian Council, and Haddington and Lammermuir Area Partnership, sessions were originally planned to take place monthly at the town’s 3G pitch.

A spokesperson for East Lothian Council told the Courier that the first session had been so successful they were bringing forward the next one.
They said: “The first Haddy Huddle took place in mid-April, where a good turnout attended to have a kick-about in a relaxed atmosphere.
“Initially it was planned to have monthly sessions but, due to its success, the next date will be Sunday (April 28), 7-9pm at the 3G pitch, Whittingehame Drive.”
