MORE heavy rain is set to soak East Lothian tomorrow (Tuesday) after the Met Office issued another weather warning for the county.
Following five successive days of downpours last week, followed by the strong winds of Storm Kathleen at the weekend, there looks to be no let-up yet from the bad weather for the county.
Forecasters suggest that, after a mostly dry day for the county today, rain will start this evening and continue for about 24 hours until late evening on Tuesday – it is expected to be at its heaviest from the early hours until about mid-afternoon on Tuesday.
A yellow 'be aware' warning for rain is in place between 1am and 6pm on Tuesday.
The Met Office warns that the heavy rain could potentially create travel disruption and difficult driving conditions, with the possibility of power cuts and flooding in some areas.
Current forecasts for the county suggest persistent rain will continue for much of Wednesday, although lighter than Tuesday's rain, before dryer weather on Thursday, then more of a mixed picture for the weekend.
