POLICE are appealing for information after a theft in Tranent.
The theft occurred in the Annfield area during the early hours of March 17, according to police, where the suspect entered an address and stole items from inside.
Police are appealing to anyone with CCTV footage or information to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in East Lothian are investigating a theft that occurred in the Annfield area during the early hours of Sunday, March 17, whereby the suspect entered an address and stole items from within.
“We are appealing for anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward by calling Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2338 of March 20. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
“In the month of March, there have been various crimes reported of theft and related offences across East Lothian, including in the Tranent area.
“As a result of police enquiries, nine people have been arrested and charged with 15 of these offences, with seven youths also being reported via the Youth Justice System and three others being reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
“In order to reduce the prevalence of these incidents, the public are encouraged to ensure their homes are secure by locking doors and windows.”
