PLANS to repair the damaged wall at North Berwick Harbour are being weighed up by East Lothian Council.
An application for listed building consent has been lodged with the local authority following damage to the harbour wall last year.
Four-metre waves and spring tides caused substantial damage to the wall and walkway towards the end of October.

Since then, the local authority has worked with North Berwick Harbour Trust and other organisations to draw up a plan for how work can be carried out.
The first phase, which saw material removed from the area, took place earlier this month.
Now permission is needed for repairs to reinstate the harbour wall.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Initial work to address storm damage at North Berwick Harbour, which focused on clearing material and recovering original stone from the damaged harbour well, recently took place.
“The next phase of work would consist of the actual repairs to the damaged harbour wall.
“While planning permission is not required, it is necessary to obtain listed building consent for reinstatement of the harbour wall.
“The application relates to this.”
On Monday, North Berwick Harbour Trust took to social media to highlight that 28 two-tonne rock bags had been delivered as part of the work being carried out to the damaged wall.
No timescale has been given for when the wall could be fully reinstated.
