AN AMATEUR dramatic group is getting ready to toast an impressive milestone by returning to the stage.
This year marks 40 years since Stenton Footlights put on its first show in the village hall.
Since then, comedies, dramas and one-act plays have all been performed.
This year’s play is historical drama Nell Gwynn, by Jessica Swale.
Rehearsals began at the end of last year and there is plenty of comedy, drama and larger-than-life characters for audiences to enjoy.
Thirteen cast members are taking to the stage, with technical, backstage and front of house swelling the number of people involved to about 40.
Now the countdown is on to the curtain officially going up.
Tickets are now available for the performances, which take place in Stenton Village Hall from March 20
to 23, from 7.30pm.
