A yellow warning for snow and ice will impact parts of the county tomorrow and Friday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice across much of the country with parts of central East Lothian covered by the warning that is in place from 6pm tomorrow until 3pm on Friday.
The full warning reads: “Outbreaks of sleet and snow will gradually spread northwards across the warning area on Thursday evening and during Friday.
“Accumulations will vary from place to place and will mainly be across high ground (above about 300 metres) - here, some areas are expected to see 1-3cm of snow through this period but perhaps as much as 8-10 cm in a few locations. Ice will be an additional hazard.”
The warning will not impact the east and north of the county but central and western areas including Tranent, Prestonpans and Cockenzie and Port Seton.
Some parts of central England have been issued an amber warning for snow tomorrow, though no amber warnings have been issued for Scotland yet.
