STRONG winds have forced the closure of an East Lothian recycling centre.
The local authority took the decision this morning (Monday) to delay the opening of the facilities in North Berwick and Dunbar.
At that time, a spokesperson for East Lothian Council took to social media and said the two recycling centres would be opening later than normal due to the windy weather.
The facility at Kinwegar, Wallyford, is unaffected but people are urged to take care due to the windy conditions.
Shortly after 2.10pm, the council spokesperson offered an update to confirm the recycling centre in Dunbar had now opened but the facility in North Berwick would remain closed throughout the day "due to gusting winds".
