A TRANENT thief stole goods from a supermarket just two days after appearing in court for similar offences.
William Peacock was in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on January 2 to admit stealing razorblades from the town’s Asda on three occasions in December last year.
He was fined £320 but was then caught taking a quantity of alcohol from the Aldi store in Tranent two days later on January 4.
The 34-year-old was back at court last Monday, where he pleaded guilty to the new offence, which was also committed while he was on four court bail orders.
Sentence was deferred on Peacock, of Caesar Way, to February 6.
