Some areas of the county could be without power until 10pm tonight as Scottish Power Energy Networks attempts to restore power to properties following damage caused by Storm Isha overnight.
Scottish Power Energy Networks has revealed that its electricity network has been impacted by severe weather, which has resulted in power cuts across the country.

A map of impacted areas shows power is out in parts of Musselburgh, Dunbar, Pencaitland, Humbie, Gladsmuir, Garvald, West Barns and Oldhamstocks.
A Scottish Power Energy Networks spokesperson said that it was hoped power would be restored across the country by 10pm tonight (Monday).
The spokesperson said: “Our electricity network has been impacted by severe weather conditions from Storm Isha.
“Due to unsafe working conditions as soon as it is safe to do so our engineers will assess the damage sustained to the network and will commence with repairs.

“We are now working to restore power in stages as quickly and safely as possible by 10pm on Monday January 22.
“If you have witnessed any damage to our network please stay on the line and speak to our advisors.
“We will update messages with any additional information as quickly as we can. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
