EAST Lothian is bracing itself for “ very strong winds” this Sunday after an amber weather warning with a "danger to life" warning was issued by the Met Office.
The amber warning has been issued for between 6pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday as Storm Isha is set to hit the country.
A spokesperson for the Met Office warned that "danger to life is likely" and disruption to travel is expected.
The spokesperson said: “There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
"Probably some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs can be expected.
"Longer journey times and cancellations are likely, as road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected.
"Some roads and bridges are likely to close.
"Injuries and danger to life is likely from large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and properties."
