DOG fouling outside The Old Bowling Green at The Sands, Haddington, is becoming an increasing problem, according to East Lothian Council.
The council said that dog walkers are failing to clean up after their dogs when walking them past the former bowling green.
Now, a reminder has been issued that those caught could face an £80 penalty fine.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Unfortunately some people choosing to exercise their dogs in the Old Bowling Green at The Sands, Haddington, are failing to clear up after their pet.
"No excuse, bins are on site and dog walkers must bag it and bin it.
“Dog fouling offences can result in a fixed penalty fine of £80.”
