`The former owner of Duck’s Inn in Aberlady was honoured at the Hotel of the Year Awards for his dedication to the industry.
Malcolm Duck was presented with a special farewell award at the ceremony after deciding to sell Duck’s Inn earlier this year after 19 years.
Mr Duck and his wife Fiona attended the ceremony at Radisson Blu Glasgow.
The special award was presented as a farewell and good luck for what is to come in the future.
Mr Duck told the Courier: “It is always nice to be recognised and it was a nice surprise.
“I had no idea I was being given the award and was just along for the night, so it was a real surprise but a nice one.
“Any recognition the Duck family get is always nice and we had a really great evening.”
Mr Duck was also able to present some of the awards to other winners.
