CONSULTATION has opened on permanently closing a section of road outside Dunbar Primary School to vehicles.
Changes were made to Countess Crescent, near its junction with Countess Road, during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now East Lothian Council is exploring the potential of making the changes permanent.
A spokesperson for the local authority said: “This is making permanent the arrangements that were already in place through Spaces for People.
"There are no physical changes, except the bollards will change from the temporary ones to permanent ones.”
The consultation is to “re-determine” part of Countess Crescent from carriageway to “shared footpath/cycle path”.
The consultation is open until next Friday (December 22).
