A GARDEN room home to a nail salon has been given the go-ahead in Longniddry.

East Lothian Council approved Scott Cairns’ plans for the property on Legate Road.

A supporting statement noted that the new building would be in the back garden of the property and services would be provided on a one-to-one basis.

According to the planning officer’s report: “The applicant states that the nail and eyebrow appointments are quiet, non-disruptive and have no impact to the surrounding area.

“The site has an existing driveway to the rear that clients would have use of to park and gain access to the property via the adjacent rear garden gate.”

The council planning department received no objections and gave the green light to the scheme.
