A LONGNIDDRY man has appeared in court to admit sexually assaulting a woman in Prestonpans.
Andrzej Zajaczkowski, 64, attacked the woman by touching and squeezing her breast over her clothing during an incident at the town’s Hawthorn Road.
Zajaczkowski carried out the assault on the woman on April 21.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court with the aid of an interpreter on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
The Polish national also had a plea of not guilty to assaulting PC David Porteous by repeatedly kicking the officer to the leg on the same date accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff McCarron placed Zajaczkowski, of Lorne Way, on the sex offenders' register and deferred sentence to December 18.
