An outfall pipe at Seton Sands Holiday Park has been damaged after Storm Babet battered the county two weeks ago.
The pipe is designed to reduce the risk of sewers overflowing during periods of heavy rainfall.
However, the stormy conditions in recent times have caused the pipe to partially collapse and it will need repair works as soon as possible.

Special permissions and equipment will be needed to conduct the works due to the “tidal nature of the location”.
Scottish Water confirmed that the pipe remained functional despite the damage.
A spokesperson said: “A Scottish Water outfall pipe near Seton Sands Holiday Village was damaged during Storm Babet.

“This pipe is only used during heavy rainfall as an essential relief point on the network to reduce the risk of sewer flooding in streets and properties.
“The damage will not affect its ability to operate.
“Due to the tidal nature of the location, specialist equipment and permissions are required to carry out the repair and we will undertake this work as soon as possible.”
