Police Scotland seized the car at the Jewel in Edinburgh
A CAR has been seized by police after being driven illegally in the county.
Officers confirmed that they were made aware of the white BMW driving from East Lothian toward Edinburgh on the A1.
The vehicle was checked and found to have no insurance. Officers stopped the motorist and the vehicle was seized.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The vehicle was seen on the A1 between East Lothian and Edinburgh and when it was checked had no insurance.
"The vehicle was stopped, driver charged and the vehicle was seized."
