A PICTURESQUE beach and two spectacular buildings in East Lothian are at the heart of a popular new television series.
The Buccaneers, an eight-part Apple TV+ series, was broadcast on Wednesday with new episodes weekly.
Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag and Imogen Waterhouse star in the programme, which is inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel of the same name, published posthumously a year after her death.
Christina Hendricks, of Mad Men, also features in the show.
A number of locations across Scotland are featured in the show, including Gosford House, near Longniddry; Seacliff Beach, near North Berwick; and Musselburgh’s Newhailes House.

It is far from the first time that Gosford House has been used as a backdrop for a popular television series.
It has also featured in Outlander, The Awakening and The Little Vampire among others.
It also featured in another Edith Wharton adaptation, The House of Mirth, starring Gillian Anderson and Eric Stoltz.
Newhailes House has also featured in Outlander alongside other county locations, including Preston Mill at East Linton.
