POLICE patrols are being carried out on bus services after concerns about anti-social behaviour on journeys.
Officers travelled on routes to Musselburgh, Ormiston, Pencaitland and Haddington following “reported youth-related issues” by bus companies.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stressed it would continue working to ensure that journeys were safe for everyone.
They said: “A small group of youths were spoken to and reminded of their responsibilities when travelling.
"We engaged with drivers about their issues with large groups of youths travelling on their buses.”
