GREGGS, Costa and Miss Millie’s could find a home at a revamped service station on the outskirts of Musselburgh.

Plans to transform the petrol station at Old Craighall, between the A1 and the Edinburgh City Bypass, were given the go ahead by East Lothian Council in the spring of last year.

At that time, The Motor Fuel Group (MFG) had plans to knock down the existing petrol station and replace it with “an enhanced roadside services offer”.

A drive-thru coffee shop was also earmarked for the site as part of a separate plan, which has also received the green light from the local authority.

Now, drawings included with a fresh application for advertising consent to East Lothian Council feature the names of three businesses.

Greggs and Costa, which already have branches in the town, feature on the signage for the filling station.

Miss Millie’s, which has branches in the south of England and specialises in fried chicken, is also shown in the image.

Londis and BP also feature in the various drawings.

A decision is expected on the latest proposal early in the New Year.

The Courier has approached Greggs, Costa and Miss Millie's for comments.
