FRESH produce is promising a spook-tacular Haddington Farmers’ Market on Saturday.
Many of the stalls at the monthly market will feature Hallowe’en products, with Station House Bakery, Phantassie, The Spice Witch, Mungoswells and Love Ice Cream embracing the occasion.
Seasonal fruit and vegetables, ranging from apples, beetroot and broccoli to lettuce, pears and turnips, will be on offer.
Many people will be carving pumpkins over the coming days and there will be ingredients on offer to help transform the flesh into everything from soups and stews to cakes and pies.
Beyond Hallowe’en, there will also be ingredients available to get started on Christmas cakes or mince pies.
Twenty-eight stallholders will feature everything from chocolate to chutney and tea towels to artisan jams.
Haddington Pipe Band will also be providing entertainment at the market, which runs from 9am to 1pm. Free parking is available for the market, on the town’s Court Street, at the nearby John Muir House.
