A CONSULTATION on plans to upgrade a well-used route connecting Haddington and Longniddry has been extended.
East Lothian Council had asked people for their thoughts on upgrading and resurfacing the Haddington to Longniddry Railway Walk.
The consultation was due to finish last Friday but has been extended to tomorrow (Friday).
Transport Planning and Engineering has been commissioned by Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust to carry out “an options appraisal and detailed design” for the four-mile route.
Works would consider access points, looking at improving the surface and determining what drainage and vegetation clearance is required to open up the route.

Feedback is expected early in the New Year.
