A NEW pub has opened for business in Musselburgh offering a range of craft beers and cask ales.

The Fisherrow Tap, located on New Street, opened on Friday and is brought to the town by the same people who launched Edinburgh's Portobello Tap and the Old Eastway Tap on the Capital's Easter Road.

The pub replaces the former Hole in the Wa', benefitting from an upscale renovation to offer something new to Musselburgh.

At present, the bar only offers alcohol, but the aim is to have street food served similar to its sister pubs.

The manager of the pub told the Courier that the response so far had been "really positive" and he was looking forward to the future.
