PRESTONPANS Gala Committee has announced a new chairperson and office bearers following its AGM.
The group confirmed that Allan Sneddon would be taking over the role as chair, replacing Vikki Burns, who has decided to step back from the committee.
Mr Sneddon previously held the role of vice-chair, a position that has now been assumed by Christine Simmonte.
Johan Hogg also decided to leave the committee for a year, having previously held the role of royal court co-ordinator.
The rest of the gala committee was elected as follows: Treasurer, Elaine Anderson; secretary and gala convenor, Graeme Hutchison; vice gala convenor Allan Strock; royal court co-ordinators, Claire Corrigan, Natalie Wishart and Kerry Torley.
A gala spokesperson said in a statement following the meeting: “Tonight the gala committee held their AGM.
“We would also like to welcome our new members, Mary, Billy and Liz.
“We would like to say thanks for all her help over the years to Johan Hogg, who has stepped back from the committee for a year.
“We haste ye back Johan.
“Finally, our thanks goes to our retiring chairperson, Vikki Burns, who has decided to take a back seat from the committee but will help us out if and when she can.
“Remember folks, anyone else who is interested in helping as a committee member or as a volunteer helper for events, then please do get in touch with us.”
