ATTEMPTED extortion is among the offences highlighted by police in Dunbar.
Constable Laura Jackson sent a report to the town’s community council ahead of its meeting this coming Monday.
Sixty crimes were detailed, with the written report broken down into five sections.
Under protecting the most vulnerable, seven offences – two sexual offence, two attempted extortion (sexual), two assault (domestic) and one threatening or abusive behaviour (sexual) – were noted.
Meanwhile, under reducing violence and anti-social behaviour, a further 30 crimes were highlighted.
That ranged from 10 cases of vandalism to six “crimes against justice” and six assaults.
Other incidents included threatening or abusive behaviour, fire-raising, culpable and reckless conduct and breaches of anti-social behaviour orders (ASBO).
Nine cases of shoplifting and four cases of fraud were detailed under reducing acquisitive crime.
Eight motoring offences were noted under improving road safety while two cases of possession of drugs were highlighted under tackling serious and organised crime.
