A yellow weather warning for rain will be in place across the central part of the county overnight.
The warning, issued by the Met Office, will be in place from 3am tomorrow morning until noon across the central part of the county including Haddington, Drem and East Linton.
The warning reads: “A period of heavy rain is expected to affect many parts of Scotland through the first part of Saturday.
“Totals of 20-30mm could fall quite widely within the warning area and much of the rainfall will occur in a relatively short period time. Strong and gusty southeasterly winds will accompany the rain, with gusts perhaps as high as 40mph around some exposed coasts and hills in the east.”
Road users are advised to be cautious and only make essential journeys.
Advice on what to do in rainy conditions, and more information on the warning can be found on the Met Office website.
