A Prestonpans-based coppersmith is encouraging ambitious high school graduates to consider an apprenticeship with the firm.
McMillan Coppersmiths, based at Mid Road Industrial Estate in the town, is owned by specialist process engineer and sustainability pioneer Briggs of Burton and is looking for new people to join its training academy.
The company, while founded in 1867, has been based in Prestonpans for 60 years and supplies copper distilling equipment in the UK and abroad.
The training academy aims to shape the next generation of Scottish coppersmiths.
The programme involves a blend of theory and practice, allowing students over the age of 17 to enter a profession with good job prospects thanks to the booming whisky industry.
