A MUSSELBURGH man who assaulted a shop worker at an Edinburgh supermarket has been jailed.
Jayson Dodds, Goose Green Avenue, threw a glass bottle at employee Alban Sery during an incident at Sainsbury’s on the Capital’s Shandwick Place.
Dodds attempted to strike Mr Sery with the implement and caused him to fall to the ground when he attacked him at the shop on November 6, 2021.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to the assault charge when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court previously.
He was back in the dock at the court for sentencing last Wednesday, where Sheriff John Cook ordered him to serve a 108-day custodial sentence.
