Tranent High Street is closed due to a Chinese takeaway being on fire.
Fire crew, police and an ambulance are in attendance at the scene after the building caught fire at about 1.47pm today.
Images of the scene show smoke coming from the roof of Yummy House Chinese Takeaway.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 1.47pm on Thursday, 20 July, to reports of a fire within a commercial premises on Tranent High Street, East Lothian.
"Operations control mobilised four fire appliances to the scene where firefighters are continuing to extinguish a fire within the roof space of the building.
"There are no reported casualties and crews will remain in attendance until the area has been made safe."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Thursday, 20 July, 2023, we received a report of a fire at a premises on High Street, Tranent.
“Officers are in attendance to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.”
