FOUR bands whose members are East Lothian high school pupils will perform at Fringe by the Sea later this summer.
Gaslight and Kings of Lugton secured spots to perform at the North Berwick festival through ELjam’s Battle of the Bands at Haddstock in Haddington.
Meanwhile, Room 27 and Red Raven will also perform on the Lighthouse Stage.
Haddington’s music festival, Haddstock, took place at the end of May and saw 12 bands representing each of the county’s secondary schools.
Room 27 and Cardiac Arrest represented Dunbar Grammar School, while Kings of Lugton and The Revolving Doors were Preston Lodge High School’s delegates. Gaslight and Red Raven flew the flag for Knox Academy, while Musselburgh Grammar School was represented by No Prospects and Og. Finally, Indigo and Queen Spirit were representing North Berwick High School, while Cetaceans and Syths did the same for Ross High School.
The event was organised by ELjam – East Lothian’s youth music forum, part of East Lothian Council’s arts service.
Ten prizes were awarded, from promotional photoshoots to website design, alongside a studio session and track production at Edinburgh College.
