MARIA Lyle has clinched bronze in the T35 200m at the World Para Athletics Championships.
The global competition is taking place in Paris and Lyle finished behind world record holder Xia Zhou and Qianqian Guo, both of China.
Zhou crossed the line in a time of 28.77 seconds ahead of Guo on 29.91 seconds.
Lyle secured a spot on the podium with a time of 31.01 seconds ahead of Iraq's Fatimah Suwaed.
Lyle, of Dunbar, went into the championships in France as the defending 100m and 200m champion.
However, before the event, she told Courier Sport she would be "over the moon" with a medal as she returns from injury.

The 23-year-old, who has spastic diplegic cerebral palsy, had an operation on her foot last year.
Her competition is not yet over as she will also compete in the T35 100m.
Both the heats and the finals take place on the last day of the competition on Monday.
The World Para Athletics Championships come 12 months before the Paralympic Games are held in the French capital city.
