Thunderstorms are anticipated across the county tomorrow from 9am with a yellow weather warning in place from the Met Office.
The warning is in place from 9am until 11.59pm tomorrow with the public warned to be prepared for heavy rain and thunder.
A statement from the Met Office said: “Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected on Saturday, during the morning mainly over parts of England before becoming mainly focused over northern England and Scotland by late afternoon/evening.
“Some intense downpours are likely and whilst rainfall accumulations will vary from place to place, as much as 50mm of rain could fall in a short space of time in some locations. Hail, lightning and gusty winds will be additional hazards.”
Road users are being warned to be cautious if driving during a thunderstorm and should only be using roads if absolutely necessary.
Members of the public are encouraged to seek shelter during a thunderstorm.
