A 40-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after allegedly being assaulted in Musselburgh. Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The alleged incident occurred at about 10.30pm on Tuesday on North High Street in Musselburgh.
The two men who were arrested have been released pending further enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 4 July, 2023, we received a report of a man having been seriously assaulted on North High Street, Musselburgh.
“The 40-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Two men aged 28 and 49 were arrested in connection and have been released pending further enquiry.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
