A DOUBLE donation has boosted a group set up to encourage people to enjoy surfing.
Belhaven Surf Club received more than £2,700 of funding from Community Windpower, with the money split between two schemes.
Funding has already been used to buy a new gazebo, while it will also be used to install solar panels at the premises on Shore Road.
Sam Christopherson, director, said: “We are so grateful for BeGreen’s support with solar panels for the surf centre.
Not only does this help the surf centre move forward to a greener future but it will also help combat the significant rise in electricity costs for the community building and the wide variety of clubs and organisations that use it.”
