The new play area at Musselburgh’s Lewisvale Park remains closed to the public after a youngster was injured on the park’s flying fox last month.
East Lothian Council confirmed that the play area, which opened at the end of last month, area was closed last Thursday (June 8) to allow investigations to be carried out to ensure the area's safety for users. The rest of the park remains open.
Arran Marley-Hay, 13, fell from the flying fox at the facility and banged his head at the end of last month.

His mum, Ann Hay, praised the efforts of the boy’s friends who were quick to respond after Arran suffered a seizure following the fall.
Arran was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People in Edinburgh and has now been released.
At the time, Ann expressed concern that there was "nothing soft" on the ground at the play park, adding: "There should be something soft underneath in case someone falls off. We don't want any other parents going through what we did."
East Lothian Council responded at the time saying: “All council play areas across the county meet required design and safety standards.”
The council has now confirmed that the play area has been closed and that no date could be confirmed for its reopening.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Following an incident at the new play area the council has temporarily closed access to allow for further assessments to take place and unfortunately we are not in a position to advise on a re-opening date at this stage.”
