A MAN was rushed to hospital after being found with serious injuries on Musselburgh’s James Street.
Emergency services attended the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning after reports of a man being seriously injured in the area.
The area had been cordoned off at the time.
Police said the man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance, where he is still being treated.
They said that there were “no suspicious circumstances” around how he sustained his injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man found with serious injuries on James Street in Musselburgh shortly after 12.55am on Saturday, June 10.
“The man has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance for treatment, where he remains.
“Enquiries have been carried out and there are no suspicious circumstances around how he sustained his injuries.”
