A Norwegian comedian who “captured the heart of the nation” by winning Britain's Got Talent through his wacky performances is coming to Fringe by the Sea this summer.
Viggo Venn claimed victory and the £250,000 prize on Saturday after his hilarious high-vis routines left the judges in stitches.
From his debut performance on the show, Simon Cowell called him "the most stupid act we have had this year."
After his final winning performance, Alesha Dixon, one of the show's judges, said: “You’ve captivated the nation, they love you,” while Bruno Tonioli added: “I think your physical comedy is world-class, you have created one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean.”
His smile-inducing routines will also be coming to North Berwick in August as he joins a star-studded lineup that already includes Dara O Briain, Travis, Sister Sledge and Dylan Moran.
Viggo Venn: British Comedian will take place on the Lodge Stage on Sunday, August 13 from 9.30pm to 10.30pm.
