A car and a quad bike have been stolen overnight from Winton Estate in Pencaitland.
Police are appealing for information on the incident in which a dark blue Toyota Hilux and a red Honda quad bike were stolen overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote incident number 0454 of May 24, 2023.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Overnight on May 23-24, a dark blue Toyota Hilux and a red Honda quad bike were stolen from Winton Estate, Pencaitland.
“Enquiries are ongoing; however, if you have any information, please call 101 and quote incident number 0454 of May 24, 2023.
“We would like to remind our rural community to be vigilant when locking up and storing vehicles and tools.”
Police have advised the public to make it as difficult as possible for thieves to steal tools or vehicles by:
- Considering alarming vehicles and buildings
- Ensuring dark areas are well lit
- Storing vehicle keys somewhere safe
- Considering a ground clamp for quads
