Those who enjoy a dram are being invited to raise a glass at a Whitecraig bar and restaurant to celebrate World Whisky Day on Saturday (May 20).
A whisky tasting event is taking place at the Mercat Grill for anyone who wants to learn more about the fine, single malts that are produced in Scotland.
From 7pm there will be a two course steak dinner, followed at 9pm by an entertaining and informative tasting session, comprising three (x25ml) single malt whiskies. Guests will be talked through the tasting notes of the 15-year-old Balblair, Arran Amarone Cask Finish and the Bunnahabhain.
Guests will enjoy the full story of these fine Scottish single malts from renowned whisky expert Neil Forbes and the Mercat Grill’s owner Graham Blaikie – also a whisky aficionado and creator of the Mercurials Whisky & Cigar Club.
Tickets cost £50 per person for the in person event. To book call 0131 665 3354.
The event has closed for people booking to take part online.
