FIRES in a Dunbar woodland are thought to have been started by youngsters.
Police are monitoring anti-social behaviour in a range of areas in the town and carrying out patrols.
Constable Laura Jackson gave an update to Dunbar Community Council, which meets next week.
She said: “There continues to be a number of youth anti-social behaviour calls around the James Court, Lochend Woods and Spott Road retail park areas.
“Youths have been identified as being responsible for causing fires within Lochend Woods and action has been taken.
“I have carried out an evening patrol; however, all was quiet on this evening. I plan to work another Friday evening [this month] to carry out patrols.”
