TIKTOK star Alex Howard is visiting East Linton to raise funds for Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home.
The author, who has nearly 300,000 followers on the social media platform, will visit the community hall in an event organised by Night Owl Books to mark Independent Bookshop Week.
He will share his latest book, The Ghost Cat, with an audience at 8pm on June 19.
The tale follows the ghost cat as he witnesses the changes of two centuries, purring, shuffling and sniffing his way through the fashion, politics and technological advances of the modern era alongside the ever-changing inhabitants of an Edinburgh tenement.
The story unearths revelations about the mystery of existence and the human condition.
The event takes place in East Linton Community Hall and people can buy a copy of the book for £12.99, with £5 going to the charity.
Alternatively, a £5 donation can be made to the Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home.
