Dunbar Coastguard helped rescue a dog which was stuck over a cliff at Eyemouth Golf Course in the Scottish Borders.
Members of Dunbar Coastguard rushed to the scene at about 12.55pm yesterday (Friday) morning and were joined by Eyemouth coastguard, Berwick Coastguard rescue team and RNLI Eyemouth Lifeboat.
Arriving on scene a rope rescue technician from Eyemouth was lowered over the cliff and successfully secured the dog using an animal rescue bag. Coastguards then recovered the technician and the dog to the cliff top.
An Eyemouth Coastguard spokesperson said: “Our new furry friend suffered no obvious injuries and was taken home by its owners with advice to monitor and take to vet if they had any concerns.”
If you see anyone in danger on coastguards, cliffs or on the water, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.
