THE Loretto School community has been left "devastated" after the death of a 17-year-old pupil, a spokesperson for the school has said.
A 17-year-old boy died in hospital after police were called to the school in Musselburgh on Tuesday evening.

Police said that there appeared to be "no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death" and a report had been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesperson for Loretto School said: "Following a medical emergency last Tuesday evening at the school, paramedics were called to the school to treat a pupil.
"Sadly, he passed away a short time later in hospital.
"The school community is devastated and we are giving his family all the support we can.
"We have also been working with pupils and staff impacted by this tragic news and that is our focus for now."
