AN East Linton painting and decorating business has been honoured at the CITB awards, hosted by the Scottish Decorators’ Federation.
James Sandie & Son collected the Hospitality Sector Project of the Year award for its work at the Archerfield Estate, near Dirleton.
The company was celebrated for its work in renovating the interior of the luxury accommodation and lodges at Archerfield.
The ceremony took place at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club and Murray Stewart, owner of James Sandie & Son, said of the win: “I was shocked!”
“That’s why we joined the federation, to help bring the profile [of the business] up – we are all delighted,” he added. “Luckily, we had all the boys there to enjoy it too.”
The firm, which is one of East Lothian’s oldest businesses, has operated from East Linton since 1868.
The company has gained a respected reputation over the years, completing works for the National Trust for Scotland and other local estates.
A spokesperson for Archerfield said: “Many congratulations to Murray and the team at James Sandie and Sons – thoroughly well-deserved for all the hard work and effort.”
