Trains between North Berwick and Edinburgh and Dunbar and Edinburgh are running again after earlier being suspended today. LNER has said that the disruption was due to someone being hit by a train.
ScotRail also confirmed that trains had been stopped following emergency services dealing with an incident between Newcraighall and Edinburgh.
LNER said that all services between Dunbar and Edinburgh had been suspended due to someone being hit by a train.
Scotrail have now confirmed that trains are again running now as the line is clear.
Services between Dunbar and Edinburgh are also agian running.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: "Dusruption caused earlier today between Edinburgh and Newcraighall has now ended."
An LNER spokesperson said: "Due to a person being hit by a train, Dunbar and Edinburgh train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
"Disruption is expected until 18:30."
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
