A county venue has been recognised as one of the country’s most luxurious after joining a select group of 20 properties across Europe.
Gilmerton House, near Athelstaneford, was selected by property management group ALTIDO to join its ‘Luxe Collection’.
ALTIDO manages more than 2,500 properties across Europe, with a diverse portfolio of apartments, townhouses, aparthotels, and serviced apartments.
The new curated ‘Luxe Collection’, which includes Gilmerton House, has been designed to appeal to travellers looking for unique and luxurious places to stay in key European destinations.
Gilmerton House is a property steeped in history and dating back to the 16th century.
It now welcomes guests for private stays, golfing retreats, exclusive events and celebrations throughout the year.
The Georgian manor is described as “warm and welcoming”, while also being an exclusive-use estate that blends history and tradition with a touch of modernity and a sustainable ethos.
The county mansion shares the list with some stellar sites across Europe, including a glamorous Italian villa with a rooftop jacuzzi, and a design-led apartment in the trendy Arroios area of Lisbon.
Will Parry, CEO of ALTIDO, said: “We have noticed an upward trend in guests requesting luxurious properties in 2022 and so it felt like the right time to launch the newly curated Luxe Collection to meet the demand for unique holiday experiences.
“At the same time, we continue to invest in our concierge team to ensure our bespoke services match the exceptional quality of our homes.
“We are always on hand to provide something extra special for our guests.”
